SmartCommunity is an Indonesian Jabber/XMPP-related online IT community founded by Arnold Lapian (known as bLaDe). Most of community members are located in Tangerang and Jakarta, Indonesia. I joined SmartCommunity in 2009. Since that time the main goal of SmartCommunity is to run a public Jabber/XMPP server on the domain jsmart.web.id. We also serve the domain jabberid.org, in the past owned by another Indonesian IT community that stopped to support it’s Jabber server.
Some of SmartCommunity members (including me) are programmers or know coding languages. It lets us to develop some Jabber/XMPP software. More info about our Jabber-related projects can be found on the forum.
SmartCommunity is everything for me. It is the first project in my life that I made useful for a lot of people. We have thousands of registered users and more than 100 users can be online at the same time.
This site is a resource for Ilona Mitrecey listeners made by Ilona Mitrecey listeners. There is nothing special. The community of this website is very small, but we have a forum. We know that forums are now not so popular as in the past, but we like our forum. Another feature is Jabber/XMPP server at unmondeparfait.org.
The idea of this project was to make a public service that can generate various widgets for last.fm. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough free time to make it, so now there is only friendometer available.
I provide web hosting and some technical help for my friends. Nothing else. Some of my friends’ projects are EDStudio, Fakhri’s blog, website of a company “Progressor-N” and others. I used to host BANZAI blog some months ago, but this great project supported by a US girl already died.
I take part in the development of Mawar Jabber/XMPP daemon, solution for Jabber/XMPP virtual hosting targetted to low-memory environment. Mawar uses expat XML parsing library and a few other external libraries for SASL support, storing data and other features. Mawar is still being under construction, but it already serves shamangrad.net public Jabber/XMPP service.
