Installing freqbot under Microsoft WindowsFirst of all, you need to install the Python interpreter and the Twisted framework. It is recommended to use Python 2.5.2 and Twisted 8.1.0 for this version of Python. You can download both Python & Twisted here. After installing Python and Twisted, download freqbot-1.1.99.357.src.tar.bz2 and extract it into any directory you want. For example, you can extract it directly into the root directory of your drive C:, because the archive contains the directory. Go to the extracted directory and rename the configuration file freqbot.conf.examle into freqbot.conf:
And then open this file with your favorite code editor (Notepad++, Emeditor…).
Change all the paths in the configuration file into any valid pahs in your filesystem. Make sure that you are using right POSIX slashes (“/”, not “\”)! Thats all! Now you can start freqbot with the commands like these: C: You can also put these commands into a cmd-file (give it the name start.cmd, for example) if you want to run freqbot simply using your mouse.
P.S.: Windows is very stupid operating system. Switch to Linux :) © 2008 WatchRooster |
